Thought of Saint Augustine
I thank you, Lord, my joy and my glory, my hope and my God. I thank you for your gifts to me. Keep them unharmed for me: they will be the making of me, and I shall be with you for my being is your gift.
(Confessions I, 20)
Habits support the intelligence just as a way of living leads to a way of life.
(In Io. Ev. XVIII, 7)
It is better to wage war with hope of eternal peace than servitude without hope of liberation.
(De Civ. Dei XXI, 15)

New professed in Latino America

On Saturday, January 14, the novitiate year came to a close for 17 novices as they made their first profession of vows in the presence of the Prior Provincial of the Province of Peru, Fr. Alexander Lam. The ceremony took place in an atmosphere of joy and great faith. Presiding at the ceremony were our Bishops, Daniel Turley and Robert Prevost, along with the superiors of 9 circumscriptions, as well as Fr. Patricio Villalba, Assistant General and a large group of men and women religious and laity.
