Thought of Saint Augustine
Everything outside of us fluctuates with the storms and temptations of this age. But we need an interior desert where we gather ourselves and live of our faith.
(Sermo 47,25)
I thank you, Lord, my joy and my glory, my hope and my God. I thank you for your gifts to me. Keep them unharmed for me: they will be the making of me, and I shall be with you for my being is your gift.
(Confessions I, 20)
All I ask in my prayer is to know God and the soul, that is what I want.

The Ordinary chapter of the Vicariate in Bolivia of St. Thomas of Villanova was celebrated in Cochabamba on June 2 and 3, 2014 in the convent of Fray Antonio del la Calancha. The Vicariate is part of the Province of Holland.

Fr. Alejandro Moral, OSA, Prior General of the Order presided at the Chapter accompanied by Fr. Paul Clement, OSA, Prior Provincial of the Province of Holland. During the chapter. reports were made on the situation of the Friars, the works and services that are developing and Fr. Marcelo Ramírez, OSA was nominated as the Vicar for the next four years. (Fr. Marcelo previously assumed this service this past January to conclude the previous term).

After a presentation of the program of governance and development of plan of action of this new term, a group of Friars were nominated to assist as counselors of the Vicariate. We offer warm congratulations to our brothers, praying that God guides their service for the good of the Order and the Church in Bolivia.
