Thought of Saint Augustine
Love overwhelms us as we look for the truth.
(De Trinitate I, 5, 8)
God became a man so that by following a man, which you can do, you will reach God, which you could not do.
From infancy to old age, each age in all men has its own special beauty.
(De div. quaest. LXXXIII q.44)

Promoting A Culture of Vocations

North America
November 2012

The three Vocation Promoters of the Augustinian Federation of North America (California, Chicago and Villanova) launched a special Vocation Culture Project in November, 2012 for all the parishes, schools and communities in the three provinces of the United States and Canada. Posters were provided containing the names, ages, countries of origin and level of formation for the 33 men presently in formation in the United States, together with a CD in both English and Spanish of a homily prepared for the weekend of November 11-12. On that weekend, closest to the Feast of All Saints of the Order and the Order's Vocation Day, friars throughout North America spoke about vocations to the Augustinian way of life. More information is available from Fr. Tom McCarthy, OSA at vocations@augustinian.org or vocaciones@losagustinos.org
