Commission for the Patristic Institute and Augustinian studies
The commission on the Patristic Institute and other Centers of Augustinian Studies is an International commission of the Order, organized by the General Council to:
Assist the General Council in implementing the programs and projects approved in the last Ordinary General Chapter and those recommended to it by the same Council.
Help promote the Istituto Patristico Augustinianum in the pursuit of its mission.
Study the possibility of cooperation and networking between Centers of Augustinian Studies in the Order, and facilitate, where possible, that cooperation, with due regard for their juridical status.
Organize activities toward the promotion of studies in the Order in general, and in particular towards a deeper study and understanding of the life and works of St. Augustine and of other Augustinian scholars, as well as the history of the Order.
