Our brother, Fr. Manuel Ochovagía Barahona, was ordained bishop of the Diocese of Colón and Guna Yala, Panama, at the hands of Bishop Andres Carracosa, in the Arena Teófilo “Panama” Al Brown, Colón. Other bishops of the Episcopal Conference of Panama assisted in the ordination.

Bishop Manuel Ochogavía was embraced with great affection by the people of Colón, by the clergy of the diocese along with the religious men and women of the diocese. He was very grateful for the participation of the Prior General, P. Alejandro Moral Antón; the Prior Provincial, Miguel Angel Orcasitas, and the regional Vicar, Carlos de la Cruz, as well as so many other members of the Order and of our parishes in Panama.

It truly was a day filled with the love of God, filled with the affection of the people who saw the Bishop as their pastor, and filled with that love that calls us all together to live with one mind and one heart on the way to God. We give thanks and we pray for our brother, Bishop Manuel, in his new ministry as pastor of the people of Colón-Guna Yola.
