The Chapter Assembly of the Vicariate of St. Thomas of Villanova in Panama was held from the 10th to the 12th of September presided over by Fr. Alejandro Moral, OSA prior general, accompanied by Fr. Luis Marin de San Martín, OSA assistant general and Fr. Miguel Ángel Orcasitas, OSA prior provincial.

We were 36 members who faced the plan of the vicariate with creativity and enthusiasm. A review of internal life, new foundations and the desire to move forward in issues of formation was the tone of the chapter. In a fraternal and relaxed atmosphere we reviewed many proposals presented by the brothers, and approved those that will mark the next four years.

The new vicar will be Fr. Carlos De la Cruz, OSA and his counselors Fr. Ángel Luis Quintero, OSA, Fr. Raúl Serrano, OSA, Fr. Óscar González, OSA, Fr. Higinio Barría, OSA, the secretary Fr. Arcinio Murillo, OSA and the bursar Fr. Pedro Moreno, OSA were ratified by the Prior General.

September 12, the first stone of the future inter-circumscriptional novitiate was blessed and laid in Penonomé. The novitiate will be ready to receive novices in 2015. The 13th of September we closed the chapter with the Diaconal Ordination of Fr. Héctor Paz, OSA and the Presbiteral Ordination of Fr. Edwin Ramos, OSA and Fr. Luis Saavedra, OSA in the parish of El Rosario de Chitré. Our heartfelt thanks goes to Fr. Alejandro Moral, OSA and Fr. Luis Marin de San Martín, OSA who shared with us all these events which revitalize our internal life.
