"Anima una et cor unum in Deum!" (Regula)

Thought of Saint Augustine
God has to be searched and invoked in the secret of a rational soul, which is called the interior man.
(De magistro 1)
There is an origin and source of virtue. There is a root of wisdom. And, there is, so to speak, a region of changeless truth. If the soul leaves this region, it lives in darkness but, when it approaches this region, it is enlightened.
(En. in ps. 58, S 1, 18)
Past and present I find in all movement of things; but it is not so in the Truth that remains forever; I only find the present in her, and this is incorruptible; this cannot be said of creatures.
(In Io. Ev. XXXVIII, 10)

The Pope receives in audience the Prior General of the Augustinians

On Monday, 8 May, Pope Francis received in private audience the Prior General of the Order of Saint Augustine, Fr. Alejandro Moral Antón. In this very cordial meeting a number of different themes were discussed (the various apostolates of the Augustinians, ministry in the Patristic Institute, the possible nomination of Saint Thomas of Villanova as a Doctor of the Church, the challenges of our times, etc.). The Prior General reaffirmed the total readiness of the Order in the service of the Church.
