Thought of Saint Augustine
God wished to sow in every soul the seeds of intelligence and wisdom.
(Sermo 117,11)
Whoever seeks joy in himself will be sad, but whoever seeks joy in God will always be joyful because God is forever.
(In Io. Ev. XIV, 2)
Let us devoutly celebrate this day, for just as the first ones to share our faith adored Christ lying in the manger, let us adore Him reigning in heaven.
(Sermon 203,3)
