Thought of Saint Augustine
Your prayer is a conversation with God. When you read, it is God who is speaking, when you pray, it is with God that you are speaking.
Habits support the intelligence just as a way of living leads to a way of life.
(In Io. Ev. XVIII, 7)
Come back to your heart, and from there to God. For the path is not long from your heart to God.

The 2014 Course of Augustinian Spirituality, which is being conducted in Spanish this year, began with their first class on February 3, the Memorial of Blessed Stephen Bellesini, OSA. The community members at St. Monica College and the General Curia have, once again, opened their doors to our brothers and sisters who are taking this three month course to assist them in their continual formation. This year there are 16 Friars and 6 Religious Sisters registered for the course.

Fr. Pio de Luis, OSA was the first instructor and began the course with a review of the Rule and Constitutions of the Order. On Tuesday, February 11th, there was a Mass at Saint Anne church in Vatican City to officially open the 2014 course. Fr. Luis Marin, OSA presided at the Mass and preached on the values of Availability, Service and Generosity. May God continue to bless all who are participating in this three month experience of Augustinian Spirituality and let us keep them in our prayers.
